volleyball triples tournament format

VOLLEYBALL DRILL NAME - TRIPLES TOURNAMENT

Goal - Give serving, passing, setting, blocking, digging, and general ball control reps to all players in the 3vs3 environment.

How to play - Create teams of three determined by the athlete mixing rounds. Each team of three has a designated opponent. Those games take place as part of one of the rounds of the tournament.

To play, divide the court in half and each half of the court will host one of the games between two opponents.

Each game will include a pre-determined amount of odd rallies. For example, if each game includes 15 rallies, the final score of each game could be 14-1 or 8-7. This method of scorekeeping ensures that all games taking place on separate courts will end at approximately the same time.

After each round, the players return to the whiteboard to record the amount of points scored during the round.

The tournament proceeds with the players being assigned to new teams for the next round of games.

How to keep score - Each rally is worth a point. Games contain a specific amount of odd rallies. 7, 9, 11, 13, or 15 total rallies in each game are all good options.

Time - This tournament can take place in one practice session, or each round can be played on different days to spread the tournament across the duration of several practice sessions.

The duration of each round will be determined by the amount of rallies played. Less rallies in each game will result in a shorter tournament duration, while more rallies played in each round will result in a longer tournament duration.

Variations - Coaches can use a similar tournament format for doubles.

Benefits - Gives all athletes serving, passing, setting, blocking, digging, and general ball control reps.

How it works

I see what you’re trying to do—peeking behind the blur like some secret agent on their lunch break. Sorry to disappoint, but these words are about as useful as a chocolate teapot in the Sahara. You’ve come all this way for a hefty slice of absolutely nothing. But hey, at least you’ve proven you’ve got curiosity—and maybe just a bit too much free time. Go ahead, keep snooping, but I promise there are no hidden Easter eggs here. Just a witty wink and a shrug saying, ‘I see you!’ Now carry on. Or at least pretend to look busy, your boss might be watching.

organization and scoring

Well, well, well… look at you, sneaking behind the pixelated veil like a top-secret spy on a coffee break. I bet you thought you’d uncover the meaning of life, or at least some juicy gossip about our rumored llama-and-unicorn petting zoo (it’s real, by the way, but shhh). Instead, you’re left with this glorious bit of nonsense, crafted to be about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. Congrats on your sleuthing—if you’re reading this, you’ve definitely earned the official ‘Curious Cat’ badge. Wear it with pride!

For all that effort, you’re rewarded with these premium-grade waffle words. No hidden treasure maps here, no secret handshake instructions, just a wink and a nod from the internet’s cosmic snark department. Feel free to flaunt your hacking prowess to your friends, but don’t expect them to be impressed by our whimsical ramblings. After all, this text is basically the online equivalent of a rickroll—surprising, slightly ridiculous, and guaranteed to raise at least one eyebrow. Enjoy your moment in the sun, detective!
