Kirsten Booth was gracious enough to be part of our AVCA panel in Omaha, and that was my first time meeting her. I’d heard a little about her and her teams at Creighton, and she was wonderful on our panel. She had some really interesting insights that we explored a little further when we were able to talk a few weeks later, and I was especially excited to hear more about her ideas on “girl power” and how she hates the term “girl push-ups”.
She tells about her humble beginnings in coaching, and the fact that she was headed to a career in tennis rather than volleyball. She still holds the all-time assist record at Truman State, and we’re lucky to have her in our sport. Enjoy the show!
